Using creative imagination, individual and group inquiry, we will aim to navigate through the wonderful tapestry of what it means, looks and feels like to know ‘The Art of You’.
We are all different, unique and navigate the world according to our inner compass. To feel like we are truly thriving in life, I believe it’s key to be attuned to our own personal compass or ‘inner guidance system’. This can be like a muscle. If we don’t use it, it weakens. If we practice and build more awareness, this muscle strengthens.
Using focused Art Therapy processes, vision boarding and Meditation, we will aim to get in touch with the calm within ourselves. To build awareness around our personal stillness and to strengthen our connection with what is true for us..
We will have the opportunity to learn different tools of self management for our busy lives, gain insight into our own self empowerment and we will set out to break some old limiting beliefs.
Art therapy is a non-invasive form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. One of the beauties of art as therapy is the ability for you to express your feelings through any form of art. It is typically a way for the soul/self to speak beyond the minds chatter, allowing a dialogue of images or creations to come through, which then can be explored and integrated into more of an awareness for yourself. This can lead to a life filled with more ease, joy and self empowerment.
During our 6 week course, we will explore different topics through simple art processes and meditation techniques. For some people it might be to work through something personally challenging, for others it simply might be to be there, still the mind and body and build the ability to go to that place , because we do have it - we’re often just to bloody busy to always remember...
